Partnering with Ken Skalski this basement was re-invisioned as a multi-purpose space including a gym, full bath, play space, kitchen and wine cellar. A 6ft barn door was added between the home gym and play space to provide privacy. Ken distressed the door creating a rustic and unique feel. He is also responsible for the white shaker style kitchen with concrete counter tops and open shelving. Getting creative with the existing structural elements, Ken crafted a custom built-in book shelf that fit nicely into a space created by a duct and a support.
