Kaja Gam transformed this 2,000 square foot, loft-like condo on the penthouse floor into a harmonious showpiece apartment! The result is a space both the husband and wife agree that they love living and entertaining in.
The owners of a new Harlem NY City 2 Bedroom Apartment needed a full update to accommodate their needs and design style … Kaja Gam Design to the rescue!
A custom walnut head board was designed by Kaja Gam and fabricated by Ottavio’s Woodworking with one of a kind jacquard fabric in soft hues of sage and robins egg blue. The bed linen is by Areahome and bed cover by Kaja Gam Design. The bed side tables are by Chelsea Textiles.
A plant tree of walnut shelves cantilevered into the corner provide a nice visual element.
The furniture and oval custom rug was designed by Kaja Gam Design, Inc and was produced by Delos. The chairs and sofa were built by MTC Studio Designs and the kidney shapes steel tables were fabricated by Garrison Forge. Floating shelves were designed by Kaja and fabricated by Ottavio’s Woodworking, provide additional design and functionality for the space.
The oval rug named Camilla, was custom designed for the client and the room.
To divide the bedroom from the living space Kaja came up with a feature design element in the space, a 10 foot long glass sliding door. It includes Mondrian inspired aluminum panels and frosted glass. Fabrication was completed by PK-30 and installation by KGHome.
Rounding out the project Kaja designed a custom banquette with drawers for the dining area which was fabricated by Ottavio’s Woodworking.
